The NYC Department of Employment issued a third addendum to its Summer YouthRFP (12/19)
The changes are:the deadline is extended to January 3rd (originally Dec. 16), therequirement of unsubsidized job slots is eliminated, and the percent ofyouth required to reside within specified service area is reduced to 70%.

Social Security Announces New Initiatives to PromoteEmployment Opportunities for People with Disabilities (10/02)

The Benefits Planner is a quarterly newsletter of the NY State Work Incentives Support Center. It covers issues involving Social Security, SSI Medicare, Medicaid and work.

  • The Fall, 2002 issue (Acrobat PDF format) The lead article is titled "SSI's Income and Resource Rules."
  • The Summer, 2002 issue (Acrobat PDF format) The lead article focuses on the SSI PASS (Plan for Achieving Self Support)
  • The Spring, 2002 issue (Acrobat PDF format) The lead article is titled "The Ticket To Work and Self Sufficiency."

"The Recovery Vision: New paradigm, new questions, new answers," is available on the Boston University website: http://www.bu.edu/cpr/webcast. This webcast, featuring Dr. William Anthony, Dr. Courtenay Harding, Ms. Judi Chamberlin, and Dr. Marianne Farkas, reviews the empirical knowledge underlying the vision of recovery, identifies the changes which must occur in recovery research, discusses the roles of consumer/survivors and non-consumer/survivors in the field, and address the challenges of changing mental health systems worldwide.
